Take Your Home with You: $700 Portable Capsule Homes Are Coming
If sleeping under the stars in a tent scares you, the eco-friendly portable capsule home might be just what you need. Promoted with the slogan "A Unique Housing Experience," KapsülEV will soon be available for pre-order.
The mobile home, which is set to be released for sale in 2016, is expected to be available for pre-order by the end of this year.
The eco-friendly capsule home meets its water needs from rainwater and generates electricity through wind and solar power.
With a total usable area of 8 square meters, this micro home is easily transportable via a trailer. Despite its small size, it can serve as an extra bedroom, office, or even a charging station for an electric vehicle. Inside, it features a toilet, shower, kitchen, work and dining area, and a foldable bed.
