Lənkəran Azərbaycanda şəhər. 28 iyul 1971-ci ildən respublika tabeli şəhərdir. Azərbaycanın qədim şəhərlərindən olan Lənkəran şəhəri 38 şimal, 40 şərq en dairəsinin kəsişdiyi, Xəzər dənizinin cənub-qərb sahilində, Lənkəran çayın Xəzər dənizinə töküldüyü yerdə yerləşir.

Sumqayıt Azərbaycan Respublikasında respublika tabeli şəhər.  Bakı və Gəncədən sonra Azərbaycanın üçüncü böyük şəhəri. Qafqaz şəhərlərindən biri.
